Buy or Rent Textbooks and Course Materials Online

The JMU Bookstore offers several choice for your textbooks. We sell new and used textbooks for students who want to keep their books or try to resell them. We offer over 50% of our titles for rental through Rent-a-Text for students who want to save money up front. We also offer digital textbooks through CafeScribe for students who want to save paper, work collaboratively, or just don't want to carry around the weight of traditional textbooks.

You can browse our shelves to find what you need, but the easiest option for most students is to order online. Just go to shopjmu.com, click on "Books" and select "Textbooks and Course Materials". Use the drop down menus to select your course and choose the textbook options that are right for you. Once you've placed your order, allow one full day for processing and then pick your order up in the store.

Madison CyberZone

The Madison CyberZone offers a complete selection of computer hardware and software to complement your academic, professional and personal needs. We strive to provide JMU faculty, staff and students looking to purchase computer products with the right information to make the best buying decision. Special Hours for Family Weekend

  • Fri, 10/4: 8am to 6pm
  • Sat, 10/5: 9am to 6pm

From North of Harrisonburg:

  • Take I-81 exit 245
  • Turn right at the light onto Port Republic Road
  • Turn right at the next light at JMU's Port Republic Road Entrance
  • (If you need a parking pass, detour left at the stop sign, Parking Services is located at the base of the parking deck.)
  • Continue on Bluestone Drive and turn left at the first light into Godwin Parking Lot

From South of Harrisonburg:
