My research is currently an investigation of the
role of interleukin-3 (IL-3) in cutaneous leishmaniasis, a skin disease
caused by the protozoan Leishmania major. Our laboratory uses a mouse model, including IL-3-deficient (“knockout”) mice, to conduct these studies.
