From 'Through Her Eyes' photo exhibit
Madison World Changer Sarita Hartz of the 2008 Zion Project came to the JMU campus on Saturday, Feb. 16, for an opening reception of "Through Her Eyes," a collection of photographs taken in Northern Uganda by artist Joseph Michael.
Hartz founded and directs the Zion Project, a Christian, nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming hearts and empowering the lives of girl child soldiers in Africa.
The University Program Board and the Zion Project hosted a number of events during Uganda Child Soldier Awareness Week including a film screening, benefit concert and Speakers Night featuring world leader Betty Bigombe and former girl child soldier Grace Akallo.
