The mission of the James Madison University Center
for School Leadership is to provide staff development and technical assistance for K-12
administrators and teachers focusing on school improvement, to provide leadership training
for current and potential educational leaders, and to support public school and university
inquiry efforts related to public school improvement.
To help implement this mission, the GBPC/JMU
Partnership hosts a series of workshops led by nationally known leaders in education.
These workshops are open to central office administrators, school-level administrators,
and teachers for a small fee. The feedback response from those participants in workshops
hosted during the 1999-2000 school year was extremely positive, and we are excited about
the possibilities for the 2000-2001 school year. If you have not signed up to attend these
events and are interested, please call for additional information about participation.
