Quality Assurance Review

Mr. Richard Tarr performed a quality assurance review of the internal audit program as required by the Institute of Internal Auditor's International Standards and issued his report June 2007.  Previously Mr. Tarr worked for the Institute of Internal Auditors and currently is working as a private consultant performing quality assurance review nationally.  Mr. Tarr's opinion concluded that the University's internal audit program fully complied with the Institute of Internal Audit Standards for the Professional Practices of Internal Auditing.  The opinion, representing the best possible opinion, means that JMU's Audit and Management Services has in place the relevant structures, policies and procedures, including the processes by which they are applied, that comply withy the standards.
