understanding your JMU Assessment test scores
Interpretive information is currently available for scores on the Quantitative (QR) and Scientific Reasoning (SR) tests. These tests were developed to assess James Madison University’s Cluster 3 general education student learning outcomes. All of the QR and SR items were created by faculty who teach JMU mathematics and science general education courses.
Two different forms of interpretive information are available:
How I scored in relation to faculty standards
The interpretive information provided here will tell you about your test performances as compared to some very high standards developed by JMU mathematics and science faculty members who teach general education courses. Click here to see how your scores compare to faculty standards.
How I scored compared to other students
This information will help you interpret your scores in relation to two comparison groups: 1) JMU entering first-year students; and 2) JMU sophomores and juniors. Click here to see how your scores compare to other students.
