Assessment Accommodations for First-year Students with Disabilities.

 

If you wish to utilize accommodations on Assessment Day (August 27, 2010) please read and follow the directions listed below:

  • If your accommodations include the following: extended time, and/or the ability to write on multiple choice exams,  your testing location is ISAT 350.  The assessment begins promptly at 10:00 AM. The appropriate accommodations will be made available to you at this location.
  • If your accommodations include assistive technology for enlarging a computer screen, you will need to take your take your assessments on an alternative date at the following JMU location: Ashby Computer Lab.  To make reservations for Ashby Computer Lab please contact Dale Kennedy, Ashby Lab Manager, 568-6855.  Assessments must be completed by September 3rd or a hold will be placed on your record.
  • If your accommodations include readers or scribes, please make arrangements to schedule your assessment with Disability Services by calling (540) 568-6705. Arrangements must be made at least seven days in advance of Assessment Day otherwise we will not be able to provide the accommodation on Assessment Day.
