Grant Instructions

Non-Alcoholic Alternative Community Event Grant

The grant program is currently under review. Please visit this page for further updates.

Dear Applicant:

The Community Coalition on Alcohol Abuse would first like to thank you for your interest in sponsoring a non-alcoholic event.  This year, CCAA will be awarding grants to student organizations which will provide funding for non-alcoholic events.  Local high schools and universities/colleges are encouraged to apply.  The focus of the grant is to keep the youth population (16 to 21 years) from participating in high risk activities that involve alcohol use.  The guidelines of the grant are as follows:

•  Grants will be awarded as a reimbursement to the event.

•  Grants will be awarded in the amount of up to $250 each.

•  Organizations may apply for additional funding, depending on the event.  If so, additional requirements may be imposed by the CCAA before any additional funding is awarded.

•  The event must obtain approval of the school or university/college.

•  The event must obtain the approval of the organization's faculty/staff advisor.

•  Event must be marketed as being co-sponsored by the organization and by the CCAA.

•  The CCAA banner must also be on display at the event, and handouts must be available to all attendees1.

The application must be completed sixty days prior to the event.  All applications will be reviewed during the following month's CCAA meeting for approval.  Applications must explain how the event will be marketed. The application is two-pages in length, and it attached to this letter.  If you need additional information, please contact

1Representatives of the CCAA or law enforcement officials may enter any function unannounced that has been supported through CCAA grant funding.  This is to verify that the event is in compliance with all laws, and CCAA event grant guidelines for a non-alcoholic alternative event.
