Cameron was born in Carbondale, Il, and raised in Harrisonburg, VA. He has won awards in undergraduate and professional juried shows, and has shown his work throughout Virginia, DC, and Pennsylvania. His work can be seen in the JMU Institute of Science and Technology, the newly renovated ski lodge at Massanutten Resort, and the JMU Visual Resources Center.

I work intuitively, and the formal decisions I make are as such. Material is paramount: build, make, construct, do. My continually experimental mixed media works recontextualize found objects, wood, magazine imagery and my own past works. My purpose is to spark a curiosity and excitement in the viewer: by asking questions and presenting new possibilities, I leave the viewer with a trace of familiarity, but less information than is needed for a concrete conclusion.”
