Productions and JMU EARTH Club will hold the Official Festival Fest
Pre-Party concert featuring Midnight Spaghetti and the Chocolate GStrings,
The Bandaloop Doctors and Esthetics. JMU music professor, Micky Glago, and the band, Midnight Spaghetti, bring a blend of classic funk, conscious frenetic rap, a killer horn section, with a contagious enthusiasm for life to their performance that leaves people wondering what planet they come from.
JMU Junior and founding member, Axie Blundon, and his band, The Bandaloop Doctors, bring a progressive blend of genre bending, live-electronic grooves and roots-rock aided by a bottomless bag of tricks, including a collaborative performance with the local hip-hop group Esthetics.
Stop in to Festival dining hall close to the Arboretum, or any of the other JMU Dining Services locations, and purchase a take-out dinner or bring your own brown bag meal. Walk, ride your bike, take a bus or park nearby! Come however you can to the EJC Arboretum Friday evening, April 17, 2009, from 6:30 to 10:30, with your blankets and lawn chairs and your best friends, for this kick-off concert in the EJC Arboretum and Botanical Gardens’ outdoor Amphitheater.
