The EJC Arboretum Pavilion
The Pavilion is a rustic, three-sided open building that is available on a reserved-use basis to faculty as an outdoor classroom, to student organizations as a meeting or event venue, and to the public for private events. JMU faculty and student users do not pay a reservation rental fee. Public uses are subject to varying fees for events and weddings, which fees are found on the Reservation Form. The Pavilion has picnic table seating for 24-30, electrical connections, lighting, and ceiling fans. Event set up is available on a charge basis for all reserved users at $1 per chair and $5 per 6' rectangular banquet-style tables. All foods and beverages served with Pavilion use must be through JMU Catering, except for personal brown bag meals. Set up can be arranged for table seating for up to 40, or for theater style seating for up to 50 people. Payment for set up is required in advance of the event. Rules for public uses are posted on the Reservation Form, and are consented to by signature on that form. For public use of the Pavilion a Liability Release is required to be submitted at least seven days before the date of the approved reserved use of the Pavilion.
