I grew up in Woodstock and graduated from Bridgewater College with a BS in biology and JMU with an MS in biology. I live in Harrisonburg and work as a regional lab manager for Perdue Farms in Bridgewater. I have had an interest in birds since childhood and became actively involved with birding and the Rockingham Bird Club almost 10 years ago. Several years ago I began leading field trips to local birding hotspots for the bird club. Some of my favorite birding spots include Lake Shenandoah, Switzer Dam, and Skyline Drive.

Grounds open free to the public, dawn to dusk, 365 days a year.
