Black-Throated Green Warbler — Setophaga virens

This warbler is a common early migrant that nests in the northern United States and Canada. It also nests in the mountains of Virginia. It prefers coniferous forests. The males black throat and gold face patch is notable. Females are similar, but have duller colors. Its song is easily identified: "zee zee zee zoo zee."
