American Redstart — Setophaga ruticilla

The male is black with orange patches on the wings, tail and side sides of the breast. The female is grey or olive color with yellow markings instead of orange. The Redstart is often found at lower elevations in mixed forest habitats or along roadsides in small trees. It is a very common species and nests throughout the eastern United States and Canada.
