Put up you Dukes

For the JMU Centennial celebration, uniquely painted versions of the Duke Dog Statue will be on display throughout JMU and Harrisonburg. The JMU Alumni Association has three Duke Dogs in honor of our alumni on display in the Leeolou Alumni Center. Read about the Duke Dog statues


Stay Connected

The JMU Alumni Association offers a variety of methods for keeping in touch with classmates, friends and the university. Make sure you take advantage of any and all of these opportunities to connect!

  • Join the JMU Alumni Association LinkedIn group
    • If you are a member of LinkedIn, click the link above, log in and request to join the Alumni group.
    • If you are not a member of LinkedIn: Click the link above, click "Join Linked In now" and follow the steps to register for LinkedIn. Once you have registered, a group request will be sent to join the Alumni group.
  • Join the JMU Alumni Association Facebook group
    •  If you are a member of Facebook, click the link above, log in and click "Join Group" on the right side of the page, under the Alumni Association logo.
    • If you are not a member of Facebook, follow the link and register for Facebook. Once the registration process is complete, return to the link above and click "Join Group" on the right side of the page, under the Alumni Association logo.
    • You must be in the "JMU Network" and have a JMU Alumni email address in order to join this group.
      • Get your permanent JMU alumni email address.
      •  To join the JMU Network: Click "Networks" at the top of the page and select "Join a Network." Search for "JMU," then enter your status and year, and you will be added to the JMU Network and "Join Group" will be an option on the JMU Alumni Association group page, so select that link and you will be added automatically.

Volunteer Spotlight David Ellis

David Ellis, Treasurer of the Black Alumni Chapter, is leading the BAC's newest student scholarship campaign, "$100 for the 100th." The goal is to raise $20,000 by Homecoming 2008.
