The JMU Student Alumni Association was formed in 2013 as a society of JMU student donors. All students who donate to JMU are SAA members and students who make an annual gift of $25 or more are considered benefit-level members. The SAA hosts events on campus and facilitates networking opportunities between students and alumni.
The SAA has a 25-30-person leadership team, with five officers.

All JMU student donors are SAA members. Additionally, students who donate $25 or more are considered benefit-level members with access to programs, including alumni-student networking events.
