Each summer, the JMU Alumni Association participates with CityCelebrations' summer concert series, Friday Cheers.   This is a true Richmond tradition, entering its 22nd season. Every Friday from 6:00pm-10:00pm, thousands of people come to Brown's Islandrelax after the workweek, meet friends and hear some of the region's top bands.

The Richmond Chapter of the JMU Alumni Association needs volunteers to:

  Sell drink tickets and

Serve beverages during the event.

   Admission is Free.

This is a fun outdoor event that supports the city of Richmond while raising money for our chapter that goes directly into our operating account. Our operating account allows us to keep our meetings and most of our alumni events free of charge or at a low cost to you.  It also makes it possible for us to offer free membership into the JMU Alumni Association.
