The Party with a Purpose

Kick off your Holiday Season with the JMU Black Alumni at its Annual Holiday Party in downtown Richmond, VA.  Join fellow alumni and friends for a fun and festive holiday gathering. Let's raise a glass to the coming New Year, we will toast to the Holidays with friends and good cheer.

Vanessa Evans appointed to the JMU Board of Visitors

Join us in congratulating BAC President, Vanessa Evans, who has been appointed to the JMU Board of Visitors by Governor Tim Kaine. This is the highest appointed position at JMU for alumni! The Board of Visitors is made up of 15 members who serve four-year terms and is the governing body of the university. Mentoring Program

Become a MENTOR to JMU students. The Black Alumni Chapter Mentoring Committee is still in need of alumni to serve as mentors. As a mentor, we are looking for interested person to reach out to our students and foster positive relationships that will ultimately assist with the retention and matriculation of African American students enrolled at JMU. Black Alumni Chapter Scholarship

Help an African-American student at JMU by giving to the BAC SCHOLARSHIP. The JMU Black Alumni Chapter Scholarship is awarded annually to deserving African-American freshmen at JMU. Learn more...
