Alumni
Career Network
Introduction
As
a current JMU student or recent grad, the Alumni
Career Network (ACN) is your link to JMU alumni who are
already a part of the work force and who are willing to help
you get started or assist you in a career change. The type of
assistance you receive may include: informational interviews,
resume review and/or referral and possibly further contacts
for internships and job openings. We hope this service will
aid you in the networking process. Brought to you on behalf
the James Madison Univesity Alumni Association.

The Process
Using
the JMU Alumni Career Network is simple. There are several tools
available to you. Start by logging onto the JMU
Online Alumni Community. There are two main career-related
areas.
1.
Online Directory (for networking).
This allows you to do a search for
other alumni based on certain criteria. You can search for alumni
in a certain field of work, with a particular job title, working
for a certain company, working in a certain city, etc. You can
search using any combination of these variables. Obviously the
more specific your search is and the more fields of information
you fill in the fewer matches you are likely to retrieve.
