Martin O’Donoghue has been with at JMU since April of 2004, and in the Office of Prospect Research since July of 2005. He manages prospect research functions, prospect management functions and special projects.

Prior to his arrival at JMU, he worked in the Development Office of the McIntire School of Commerce and was a product manager of imports and exports at LEXIS NEXIS in Charlottesville, Virginia.

He is an alumnus of James Madison, Class of 2000, MBA.

Nicole Day ’09, COB, Economics, joined the Office of Prospect Research in August of 2013.  She comes from the non-profit consulting fundraising world where she was a Prospect Research Associate and Account Coordinator for Odell Simms & Lynch, Inc. and Development Coordinator for Rails-to-Trails Conservancy.  She has worked on behalf of such clients as the Eisenhower Memorial Commission, Childfund International and The National Museum of Americans in Wartime.  She has done corporate and foundation research as well as individual research and arrives with a fresh view of prospect research.  She will be supervising analytics and identification projects which includes establishing policies and procedures related to prospect management, research rating systems and scoring.

Cynthia L. Watson has been with JMU since January 2013 in the office of Prospect Research as the Central Files Assistant.

Prior to her arrival at JMU she worked for 11 years at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation center in various roles, the last being in the Medical Records Department as an Administrative Office Specialist.

She is a 2008 graduate of the University of Phoenix with a degree in Business Administration.

She lives in Staunton, Virginia with her family. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, fishing, hiking, and reading as well as trips to Maryland and Florida.

Mary Ann Shisler has been with JMU in Prospect Research since April of 2009. Her primary responsibility is to work with the Director and Development Officers in the discovery and qualification stages of prospect management and to identify and research high net worth donors and prospective donors.

Mary Ann has a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in library science from Syracuse University. Before coming to JMU, Mary Ann worked as an academic librarian at Eastern Mennonite University and a school library media specialist in Syracuse, NY.

She enjoys roller blading at Onondaga Lake Park, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two young adult sons.

Lindsay Marie Holt joined the Office of Prospect Research in January of 2013 and has just moved to full-time in July. She researches prospective donors, works on special projects, and creates and maintains systems of analysis for prospect research functions.

Lindsay was a program assistant for the Center for International Stabilization and Recovery at JMU during the summer of 2012. Prior to working for JMU, Lindsay interned with Church World Service in their Immigration and Refugee Policy office on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

Lindsay graduated from JMU in May of 2012 with a BA in Anthropology. She has traveled extensively and is always looking for ways to experience new cultures. She enjoys reading, exploring downtown Harrisonburg and Staunton, and weekend road trips with friends.
