University Advancement will be open to accept gifts during the University Winter Holiday on the following dates and times for anyone who wishes to make a gift for the 2014 Tax Year.  Please note the following information about hours and making year end gifts:

 You may drop off your gift during the times above at 220 University Blvd, Suite 1100, Harrisonburg, VA or call (855) JMU-GIVE.

 Credit Cards:

ALL credit card gifts made via the online giving site www.jmu.edu/give MUST have a transaction date BEFORE midnight Eastern Standard Time, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 to qualify for a taxable contribution for calendar year 2014.  Credit card gifts that are mailed through the postal service must be received in Advancement Gifts and Records NO LATER THAN 12 noon, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 to allow sufficient processing time to qualify for a taxable contribution for calendar year 2014.

 

  

Our Purpose

In accordance with the AIS Mission to collect, maintain, and analyze data, the goal of Advancement Gifts and Records is to consistently, accurately and promptly record and receipt all charitable gifts to the JMU Foundation. The Office of Advancement Gifts and Records collects, maintains, and safeguards the data integrity of the constituent database.

Collect and update biographical information on alumni, parents, employees, friends, corporations and foundations affiliated with James Madison University.

  • Corporate matching gift management

  • Data Collection of alumni, parent, student and friend involvement in:

    • Student participation
    • Board involvement
    • Philanthropic activity
