The Division of Administration and Finance congratulates the following JMU students who received the Administration and Finance Scholarships for 2012-2013:
Rebekah Colopy
Rebekah will be a sophomore this fall and she is a nursing major. She is a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and works at the JMU Bookstore during the summer. Rebekah is the daughter of Mark Colopy, Fixed Assets and Surplus Property.
Brandon Drury
Brandon is a rising junior majoring in Engineering. He is a member of the engineering fraternity, Sigma Phi Delta and also works at Costco and with the JMU Football program. Brandon is the son of Darren Drury, PC Services.
Megan Hinton
Megan is a rising sophomore and is majoring in International Affairs. She is a member of the JMU Invisible Children Club and is also a student assistant at Carrier Library. Megan is the daughter of Diane Hinton of Fixed Assets and Surplus Property.
Julie Sjostrom
Julie is a rising junior at the university and majoring in Spanish and International Affairs. She will be studying abroad this summer in Madrid. She is also a Young Life leader at Harrisonburg High School, serving 15-20 hours per week mentoring students. Julie is the niece of Mary Williams, International Accounting.
Samantha Somers
Samantha is a rising sophomore majoring in Health Science, pre-pharmacy. She is a member of the Pre-Pharmacy Club and is on the student administrative staff at Sonner Hall. Samantha is the daughter of Kreg Somers, Facilities Management.
Ashley Sponaugle
Ashley is a rising senior and will graduate with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is on the Dean’s List for the Fall 2011 and is employed by the Rockingham County Recreation Department as an after-school supervisor. She is the cousin of Gwen Armentrout, University Business Office.
Jessica Wright
Jessica is a rising senior and is a Geographic Science major. She is on the Dean’s List for the Fall 2011. She is the daughter of Sherry Wright, Athletics.
Chris Moffett
Chris is a rising junior in the Sports Marketing Program. He is on the Dean’s List for the Fall 2011 and a member of the Duke Club and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Chris also works at Texas Roadhouse. He is the son of Tom Moffett, Risk Management.
Morgan Whetzel
Morgan is a rising junior in the Interdisciplinary Studies program. She works in the local Commonwealth Attorney’s Office. Morgan is the daughter of Danny Whetzel, Public Safety.
Aubrey Hudson
Aubrey is an incoming freshman from Braden River High School in Bradenton, FL. She is graduating from high school in 3 years and is a member of the National Technology Honor Society. Aubrey is the granddaughter of Vicky Hudson who retired from Accounting Services.
