Administration & Finance Scholarship

Here to Help

In the Division of Administration and Finance, we are always here to help. We are the housekeepers, landscapers, accountants, technicians, computer specialists, administrative workers, athletic staff and other support folks who are committed to serving so that students can make a home here.

The scholarship program is the newest way we've developed to support students and their families. Each year, the employees in our division fund a scholarship program to help students in need start or continue their success at JMU. We put our money to work to make sure students and families get the necessary assistance to attend JMU.

The Criteria

Nominees must meet several criteria to be considered for one of our scholarships:

  • Be nominated by a staff member from the Division of Administration and Finance
  • Be a new or continuing undergraduate student who is either a child or relative of an administration and finance employee or who has a demonstrated connection to the division
  • Be in good standing academically

Consideration will be given to a candidate's academic success, financial need, previously demonstrated leadership, involvement in extracurricular activities and community service and/or work.

Nominating A Student

If you know a student who meets the criteria and needs our help, please complete a nomination form. You may nominate a student at any time. The committee considers nominations annually in the spring. Nominations for 2013-2014 are due March 4, 2013.
