Kelli Moore earned her B.A. in political science and graduated magna cum laude from Spelman College. She earned a M.A. in political science from the University of Rhode Island and a Ph.D. in comparative politics and international relations from the University of Florida. Her teaching interests include democratization, international development, and inter-ethnic relations and she has cross-regional interests in Africa, Europe and Latin America. Her research focuses on the role of civic organizations in managing ethnic tensions In addition to academic work she has lived and worked abroad on projects aimed at strengthening civil society.
