Office of the University Registrar

The Office of the University Registrar oversees class enrollment, evaluates transfer credit, maintains students’ academic records, oversees the graduation application process, and other registration activities.    They are located on the 3rd and 5th floors of Warren Hall. 

MyMadison

MyMadison is the official university site where you can access all of your academic records, enroll in classes, locate the name and contact information for your academic advisor, view a copy of your unofficial transcript and see your academic advisement report that summarizes degree requirements met and unmet.

There are a variety of tutorials available that walk you through the class enrollment process and introduce you to the features of MyMadison.

Course Enrollment Dates and Deadlines

The Office of the Registrar publishes a calendar of course enrollment dates and deadlines each semester prior to when advanced registration begins.  The calendar provides dates and deadlines for important registration tasks including:

  • Advanced registration
  • Open registration
  • Dropping and adding a class
  • Last date to withdraw from a class
  • You should consult the calendar each semester prior to enrolling in classes.

Undergradute Catalog

The JMU Undergraduate Catalog is published each year and contains academic requirements for every major, minor and pre-professional program.  You should consult the undergradate catalog prior to meeting with your academic advisor so that you can make good decisions about course selection and stay on track to graduation.
