One of the most unique aspects of the Adult Degree Program at JMU is the array of mechanisms for earning credit. Students entering the program must have 30 transferable hours. Beyond this base of credit, students may earn credit, as appropriate, for military service (must include at least 6 months active duty), independent study, regular college courses, departmental tests, non-college professional workshops, and prior learning portfolio evaluation.
