~Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965), British statesman, prime minister, author

Changing the face of the university and the lives of bright and brilliant young leaders of tomorrow, this is my contribution to what I believe is the top university in the Commonwealth.

While the State of Virginia is fortunate to have a number of excellent colleges and universities, there is only ONE university that develops and produces the most well-rounded yet individualistic prepared leaders of the future. When you take your first step onto the campus of James Madison University you are greeted with a sense of openness, happiness and acceptance. Interactions with students, faculty and staff on campus will be "J"ovial from the very start. From that first step on campus to the last step, you will feel the "M"adison pride and the "U"nique spirit all around.

JMU's uniqueness is embedded in our mission statement "we are committed to preparing students to become educated and enlightened citizens who will lead productive and meaningful lives." The liberal-arts core curriculum, known as the general education program, seeks to expose and challenge students to move outside of their comfort zones. The program is purposely designed to stretch your communication, critical thinking, teambuilding, leadership and organizational skills, all of which are needed prior to graduating from college.

As a graduate of James Madison University and now the Regional Assistant Director of Admissions at JMU, I would like to extend myself to you as a college process resource.  It is my passion to help open doors of possibility to students seeking to pursue their dreams. It is my commitment and purpose to watch the transformational process of spirited high school student as they prepare for college and become change agents of tomorrow. I will walk with you through the admissions process whether you are in middle school or in high school.  Please feel free to contact me with your questions. I can not wait to hear from you.

My office is in the Richmond area and I would be more than happy to meet with you at your high school and to speak with you directly regarding your college search or specifically about JMU. Thank you for your interest and attention and please let me know how I can assist you throughout the upcoming school years!

Go Dukes!  Embrace the Purple and Gold Change!
