Diversity is an important aspect of the James Madison University community. Today there are a number of initiatives in place to work towards increasing diversity. This site will give you a look into "WHAT IS NEW" at JMU.

In the Office of Admissions, we are more than willing to assist you with information on Admissions and JMU in general. Be sure to use us as your resource.

Early Action process or Regular Decision process are the two options for submitting an application as a freshman to James Madison University. To be admitted through Early Action, a student needs to be superior in curriculum, grades, test scores and extracurricular activities. Students who apply through Regular Decision are not at a disadvantage. Typically about 80 percent of our applicants are competitive but space constrains us to admitting only about 60 percent.
