Why I chose to attend JMU: Every since I can remember my mom was pushing me to go to JMU. Being from Virginia and a JMU Alum she crossed her fingers that I would one day be admitted. When it came time to pick schools I didn’t really have JMU high on my list. However I was blown away after visiting. The beautiful campus, friendly people, and energetic campus surpassed my expectations. By the end of the tour I knew JMU was where I wanted to be.
What JMU means to me: My four years at JMU taught me more about myself than I have ever thought possible. Before coming to JMU I was scared, lost, and confused about my future. After graduating I can proudly say I am focused, confident, and independent. Without JMU I am not sure I could have become the man I am today.
Advice to students selecting a college: Visit the school before making a decision. Ask as many questions as possible and decide what it is you are truly looking for in a college.
