Why I chose to attend JMU: My desire to flee the cold winters and huge snowfalls of New England led me to explore mainly institutions within southern states. Ultimately my visit to JMU sold me on the school. Like many others before and after me, once I stepped foot of the campus, I knew this was where I'd be comfortable and JMU was the perfect "fit" for me.
What JMU means to me: One word-FAMILY. Whether you are a current student, an alum, faculty member or parent of a student, you become a part of one big happy family upon entering JMU. The campus is extremely supportive of its students and staff. This is a school that enables and encourages students to be individuals and make their mark on the community at large.
Interesting JMU Fact: I have traveled to West Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Virginia all to support JMU's Athletics teams on the road. Go DUKES!
