Why I chose to attend JMU: I chose JMU because it offered one of the best special education departments in the state. I also loved the beauty of the campus and heard good reports from other students.
What JMU means to me: I grew so much as a person at JMU! Socially, Intellectually and Spiritually. I met the greatest people here- especially my husband whom I got to know better in a snowball fight. We now have a daughter here who is a sophomore, so I guess we've come the full JMU circle.
Advice to students selecting a college: I would encourage you to relax and take a deep breath. Go to college informational programs in your local area and talk to your guidance department. Visit the colleges you are really interested in. Also, realize there are lots of different ways to get where you want to go in life.

Class at JMU: Dave Herr's Behavior Management class when he got up on his desk to illustrate a point. I had a great psychology and math professor, too.

JMU Memory: Spending time with friends in the suite, visiting different friends' homes, hiking, pranking on friends, the first snow of the season, traveling to Europe after I graduated to backpack for six weeks with three other JMU grads.
