Break Description

Join us in helping the growing population of women and children facing homelessness in the Kansas City area as we work with Sheffield place. Since their founding in 1991 Sheffield Place has assisted more than 700 families. With a strong emphasis on Trauma Informed Care they have helped to find the underlying cause of Homelessness especially for women and children. Although it acts as a transition space, Sheffield Place is a home to the women and children we will get to spend our week serving. We will mainly be working with the children in the area with their common daily activities. This will include playing games, reading, and learning about their interests. As their formal time with Sheffield Place comes to an end, their journey to a self sufficient life is just getting started.
