Break Description

The focus of this break is to aid the Cherokee Nation’s Early Childhood Head Start Unit in creating a positive and learning conducive environment for young disadvantaged children in the community.

Tahlequah, Oklahoma is located in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains which serves as the capital of the Cherokee Nation.  In addition to promoting education, we will be reaching out to the population in the surrounding community.  Join us as we embark on a break that will enlighten participants of the rich history, unique customs and incredible journeys of our oldest fore founders.

A typical day would include: Early morning to afternoon working in a classroom setting with children ages 3-5 years old doing various learning activities.
