Focus on: Community Wellness and Refugee Resettlement

Join us as we head to Louisville, Kentucky to work with the Migrant and Refugee Services (MRS) branch of Catholic Charities! Catholic Charities Louisville works tirelessly to assist a wide range of community members with services such as adoption services, language services, mother/infant care, and refugee resettlement. The MRS branch aids refugees from over 30 different countries and has played a major role in resettling 10,000 individuals escaping persecution for religious or political beliefs. The goal of MRS is to build a relationship between the community and individuals seeking a safer life. By engaging the public, MRS maximizes the chances of a successful transition from a refugee to a self-sufficient community member. Our group will be helping MRS with a variety of tasks, including teaching English as a second language and assisting with apartment set-ups for newly arrived refugees. Help us break barriers and bring hope to men, women, and children beginning a new journey in Louisville!
