Did You Know?
- The first employee gift to JMU was made in 1918 by Agness and Raymond Dingledine Sr. They donated $10 to create the first student scholarship essay contest.
- Today, Nearly one-third of JMU employees give back.
- In 2007-08, 875 employees donated over $475,000 to the Employee Giving Campaign - that's $66,000 more than last year. Thank you, JMU Employees!
- The amount donated by employees last year could pay tuition and fees for 68 in-state students, or 475 Alternative Spring Break trips, or 475 research opportunities!
- Employee giving has increased by 50% in the last three years! Every year, more and more Madison employees make the decision to support students and faculty with their financial contributions.
- The minimum amount to begin making a difference is only $1 per pay period using payroll deduction.
